FH Martin has been working with Oakwood Healthcare System since the 1990s. In 2008, Oakwood selected FH Martin to convert a 60,000 SF building - which was previously owned by Ford Motor Company and used as a daycare center - into a medical office building. The project scope included:
- renovation of 10,500 SF of the interior
- new finishes in other portions of the building
- the addition of several ADA compliant restrooms
- an upgraded fire alarm system
- a new building entrance and circular drive
The renovated building is now occupied by Oakwood’s Center for Exceptional Families, which provides treatment, therapy and support services for developmentally disabled children and their families; the University of Michigan Child Development Center; and an Oakwood nurse training facility. |
